The Middle School Theater Department spent a great deal of the 2020-2021 year rehearsing and filming "Junie B. Jones." While the hardworking, young thespians didn't get the opportunity to share their finished film before the school year's close, the movie now serves as an exciting opening for the year to come.
"I don't think any of us realized what a technically difficult show this was going to be when we got into it. Sometimes, there are 25 layers of video in a single shot," MS & HS Technical Theater Director & Arts Department Co-Chair Jim Manning shared. "But, in a difficult year, these actors created in new and exciting ways, and I'm excited for their work to finally hit the big screen."
Watch charming, chapter book character Junie B. Jones navigate the highs and lows of first grade set to a score of toe-tapping tunes that will make you want to sing along. Screened on the back field of the Edgehill Campus on Sunday, August 15, students and families are welcome to bring their own chairs or blanket for an evening of exciting entertainment at either of the two showtimes:
The Tickle Cast's film will begin at 7:50 p.m. featuring students from the Classes of 2028 and 2027.
The Pedro Cast's film will begin at 9 p.m. featuring students from the Classes of 2026 and 2025.
