  • Win On The Road

The Tigers made the journey to Knoxville to face Grace Christian Academy, and despite the cold weather and long travel, they came prepared to win. Right from the start, Rudolph ('26) made a statement by scoring in the first 45 seconds of the game, sending the ball directly into the box from a corner kick. This early goal set the tone, but the Tigers faced a strong challenge from GCA throughout the match.
McKay ('25) and Jones ('25) were standout defenders, helping to keep GCA’s offense in check while also aiding in pushing USN into attacking positions. Theobald ('27) then doubled the Tigers’ lead with a crucial goal to give the team more breathing room.
However, GCA was able to respond with a penalty kick, awarded after a handball in the USN box, making the score 2-1 and keeping the game tense. With the pressure on, the Tigers stayed composed under the lights and continued to press forward. Theobald ('27) came through again, scoring her second goal of the night to put the Tigers ahead 3-1.
Goalkeeper Chomsky ('25) had a strong performance, making 5 important saves to protect the Tigers’ lead. With this hard-fought road win, the Tigers advance to the State Quarterfinals, continuing their impressive postseason run.
  • Tigers Fall to BGA

The Tigers put up a valiant effort in their Region quarterfinals match against BGA, but ultimately fell in a hard-fought game. USN's defense was resolute in the first half, preventing BGA from scoring and keeping the game locked at 0-0. Kurtulus ('27) and Lindley ('27) were key players in shutting down a talented BGA player, limiting their chances and keeping the Tigers in contention.
Despite several attacks and opportunities, USN was unable to capitalize on their chances in the first half. The Tigers played stellar defense, with contributions from Manoukian ('27), McKay ('25), Jones ('25), Crane ('25), Theobald ('27), Rudolph ('26), and Manoukian ('28) all playing crucial roles, especially in the opening 40 minutes.
In the second half, BGA managed to break through and score, leaving the Tigers to chase the game. Despite their relentless hustle and determined mentality, USN was unable to find the back of the net. Goalkeeper Chomsky ('25) delivered an outstanding performance, making a remarkable save on a penalty kick earned by BGA, keeping the Tigers within reach.
Though the game ended in a loss, the Tigers played excellent soccer and showed their tenacity throughout the match. They now shift their focus to competing for the 3rd or 4th spot in the Region.

  • Tigers Finish 3rd in the Region

In a crucial matchup for the 3rd or 4th spot in the Region tournament, the Tigers faced off against PCA and delivered a strong performance to secure the win. PCA struck first, scoring on the Tigers in the first half, but USN quickly responded. O'Hara ('25) found the back of the net to tie the game, with Dawkins ('28) and Fierce ('28) contributing to the attack before halftime.
O'Hara proved to be unstoppable in this match, netting two more goals, bringing her total to three (Hat Trick) and giving the Tigers a 3-1 lead. Manoukian ('28) played a key role with two assists, while Crane ('27) also added an assist, helping the Tigers maintain their offensive momentum.
Despite pressure from PCA, the Tigers' defense held strong. Chomsky ('25) made several crucial saves to keep USN ahead, and Lindley ('27) worked tirelessly to shut down a talented PCA player. PCA scored one more goal in the final minutes of the game.
The whole team effort earned the Tigers a well-deserved win, securing them the 3rd spot in the region.
