Welcome new administrators, staff

Yuriko Biles is the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Alumni & Development. She comes to USN from an AmeriCorps position at Explore! Community School in East Nashville. She attended the University of Tennessee where she studied English and Nonprofit Management. Yuriko is excited to be at USN and eager to get to know the community. In her free time, she can be found reading, going to concerts and shows, and wandering around East Nashville.
 
Courtney Brown is the new MS/HS Instructional Librarian. Her 18 years of experience in education include seven years as a school librarian, at Red Bank High School in Chattanooga and more recently Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, as well as 11 years of teaching English and reading in both middle and high schools. Courtney places a high value on collaboration with teachers and outreach to students, ensuring that the library is a welcoming environment for all. She earned her Master of Library and Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Lee University.
 
George LaBour '17 is returning to USN as the Library Assistant. He brings to the role a great enthusiasm for the Hassenfeld Library space and its resources, having spent a considerable amount of time there as a student. He is a recent graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in History. George is very excited to be back in Nashville and coming back to the USN community. In his free time, George enjoys reading, spending time with his family, watching baseball, and walking in the parks around Nashville. 
 
Holly Newsome joins USN as Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications. She is a proud first-generation college student and double alumna of Belmont University, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations with a minor in Organizational and Corporate Communication and a Master of Science in Strategic Communication and Leadership. Her professional experience includes marketing stints with HCA’s TriStar Health and Brandywine Travel, working as an account executive in Nashville public relations agencies Deane Smith and Lam-Andrews, and coordinating communications for alumni and undergraduate admissions at Belmont University. A lifelong Nashvillian, Holly is an avid reader, enjoys baking — especially pies, and traveling with family and friends.
