Cold shooting night cost Tigers in overtime lost to Boyd Buchanan

USN's defense continues to improve, but it wasn’t enough to seal the win.
USN held a Boyd Buchanan to 53 points in what would be their best defensive effort of the young season. The Tiger showed a willingness to do what it takes to make things difficult for their opponent. Their communication and physicality from start to finish was something that everyone can be proud of. Camerin Hinsey continues to lead the Tigers on the defensive end on the floor with his intensity and constant communication. On Monday night those attributes permeated throughout the team. Camerin is making the case to be the best at doing things that don’t show up in the stat book, but are critical to a teams success.

Although the USN Tigers lost a close game to Boy Buchanan they improved in numerous aspects of the game.  Tigers made 14 out of 18 free throws during the contest which is a significant improvement from previous games. Sam Jackson went 5 of 5 from the line.

We’re looking forward to seeing the Tigers try to build on the positive when they play Cannon County tomorrow night.
