Tigers Fall to BGA

The Tigers put up a valiant effort in their Region quarterfinals match against BGA, but ultimately fell in a hard-fought game. USN's defense was resolute in the first half, preventing BGA from scoring and keeping the game locked at 0-0. Kurtulus ('27) and Lindley ('27) were key players in shutting down a talented BGA player, limiting their chances and keeping the Tigers in contention.
Despite several attacks and opportunities, USN was unable to capitalize on their chances in the first half. The Tigers played stellar defense, with contributions from Manoukian ('27), McKay ('25), Jones ('25), Crane ('25), Theobald ('27), Rudolph ('26), and Manoukian ('28) all playing crucial roles, especially in the opening 40 minutes.
In the second half, BGA managed to break through and score, leaving the Tigers to chase the game. Despite their relentless hustle and determined mentality, USN was unable to find the back of the net. Goalkeeper Chomsky ('25) delivered an outstanding performance, making a remarkable save on a penalty kick earned by BGA, keeping the Tigers within reach.
Though the game ended in a loss, the Tigers played excellent soccer and showed their tenacity throughout the match. They now shift their focus to competing for the 3rd or 4th spot in the Region.
