The Tigers had a well rounded game full of awesome passes, great sets, and electric kills. On top of their defense, their energy, and their serving the Tigers earned a great win! 25-20 and 25-19!
The Tigers had another exciting Friday game, this time against St. Paul Academy. The Tigers had a great game and found different ways to score along with awesome defensive passes that really showed how much time and dedication they’ve put in. With a new rotation Maddie Kim ‘31 earned an ace early and then Lauren Koethe went on a run with four aces! Kate Jahangir ‘31 showed off her versatility with some diving plays, along with an ace, and a kill! Then Maddy McKnight ‘31 connected with Maddie Kim ‘31, who set up a kill for Clementine Meador ‘31. The Tigers took the first set 25-20!
In the second set the Tigers started where they left off. Clementine Meador ‘31 came out aggressive with five aces and then Maddie Kim ‘31 rattled off six of her own! The defense transitioned beautifully to their offense with Clementine Meador ‘31, Kelliana Olson ‘31, and Lauren Koethe ‘31 working seamlessly together. Their teamwork led to three kills! Clementine Meador ‘31 also worked off of a Kelliana Olson ‘31 set for her own kill! To top off the barrage of clean possessions Cece Vogt ‘31 contributed two aces! The Tigers came together for a 25-19 win.
The match was beyond exciting with multiple instances of three touch volleyball and solid rallies! Through the highs and lows this team finds ways to rally together and improve after each set! As the season becomes tougher with fewer practice opportunities and more back-to-back games the Tigers will have to rely on their improved mentality, their increased skill, and their ability to support each other through tough times to grow and be competitive. Go Tigers, good luck in your next match!
