JV Boys Head to Currey Ingram for First Scrimmage

The MS JV Boys Tennis team visited Currey Ingram for a scrimmage less than 48 hours from the announcement of them making the roster.  The boys played over 12 (shorter) matches with a mix of singles and doubles and came close to splitting wins and losses with CIA.  The 7th graders kicked off the matches in doubles led by Wyatt Murphy '30 and Arjun Oakley '30.  Arjun's serve was humming and Wyatt's forehand was impressive for the first scrimmage.  Wyatt continued on from doubles to play an epic singles match as well.  Ryan Farr '30 and Ian Drewry '30 assisted our 6th graders in doubles and it helped as our 6th graders (Walker Hughley '31, Teddy Sauer '31, Gray Ezell '31, Lucas Lupu '31, Neel Sinha '31) showed us what a bright future the Tigers have.  Our JV returns to action next week in a rescheduled scrimmage with Bellevue Middle School and their first match at Franklin Road Academy on Friday, September, 6th.
