The Hawks took to a Neutral site, MBA, field to play their first game of the season against the BGA Wildcats. Rostering a good number of players, the Hawks looked to start the season with a win. With many new players to the game of football, the Hawks had some untimely and unfortunate mistakes throughout the game that gave the Wildcats multiple opportunities to keep their drives alive. The Wildcats QB ran and accounted for 24 of their 30 points. The Hawks had a TD called back early on from because of a holding penalty and could not find the right chemistry to move the ball forward consistently. Eight graders, Ellis Masiac, Aayen Parikh and Tej Morrison, were able to provide some much needed depth for the Hawks in their 30-0 defeat. The Hawks will take to the road in their next game against Pope Prep in Hendersonville.
