New staff join USN
Join us in welcoming Human Resources Director Megan Creel, Technology Specialist Tanesha Tumblin, Health Room Nurse Katie Doerr, and Staff Accountant Sarah Jacobson to the USN community.

Megan Creel joins USN as the Human Resources Director. Megan comes to USN with over 18 years of experience in Human Resources. She has worked in both the education and nonprofit industries, and most recently was at Currey Ingram Academy. Megan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management from the University of Dayton and came to USN because of her passion for helping others. A fun fact about Megan is that she comes from a large family and has more than 50 cousins.
Tanesha Tumblin comes to USN as the Tech Specialist after serving as a satellite communications operator in the United States Marine Corps for nearly a decade. Her work in our Technology Office allows her to continue exploring one of her great passions. When she isn’t at school, Tanesha can be found spending time with family or eating her favorite food, pancakes.
Katie Doerr joins USN as a Health Room Nurse. Before coming to USN, Katie graduated from the University of Arkansas and had been working with Vanderbilt Radiation Oncology. Katie comes to USN excited to educate students on their health as they grow up. In her free time, you can find Katie with her husband running their food truck, Bondi Bowls, where they serve smoothie bowls, shaved ice, and other warm-weather treats.
Sarah Jacobson joins USN as the school’s new Staff Accountant in the Business Office. Sarah went to undergraduate school and earned her MBA at the University of Tennessee-Martin. She also brings over 25 years of accounting experience, most recently in business management accounting in the music industry. A Tennessee native, Sarah loves to listen to live music — especially at The Ryman or The Basement East.
