French Honor Society inducts eight students

Congratulations to Margaret McKay '25, Eva Choe '26, Binyam Dunne '26, Alondra Martinez Ordaz '26, Paulo Saoud '26, Cecilie Schmidt '26, Maeve Stevenson '26, and Maddie Womack '26 for their induction into the French Honor Society.
French Teachers Richard Espenant and Morgan Miense had the honor of inducting eight exceptional students into the French Honor Society on Tuesday, March 4. These students were carefully chosen for their outstanding academic achievements in all French courses throughout their high school education, as well as their profound interest in Francophone culture.

Established in 1949 by the American Association of Teachers of French, the French Honor Society upholds the motto: "One who knows two languages is worth two people." Here are this year's inductees:

During the induction, students solemnly recited the society's oath in the presence of faculty sponsors, parents, several of last year’s inductees (Ophelia Cherry-Pulay '25, Sydney Fast '25, Anna Hulan '25, Erin Joyce '25, Eleanor Molvig '25, Anna Picasso '25, Caspar Schmidt '25, Amelie Soslow '25, and Kati Tong '25), and USN students.
