Local artist DaShawn Lewis to showcase latest exhibition in Tibbott Gallery
Join us for an artist reception for DaShawn Lewis' latest photography series, "Reflections," from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, in USN's Tibbott Gallery.
By Andy King, MS and HS Visual Art Teacher
DaShawn Lewis, a native of the Edgehill neighborhood, can often be seen around Nashville with his camera hanging around his neck. He remains very active in working with youth in the neighborhood he grew up in and outside organizations such as Oasis Center, Project ForeSight, and Edghill Brighter Days. He recently exhibited his art at Cheekwood, Geodis Park, and the Nashville International Airport.
His black-and-white photography series, "Reflections," captures the essence of quiet moments between people. These intimate interactions, caught in real-time, are not just about the community but also about the individuals who bring it to life. They are a reflection of us all.
Join us from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, in the Tibbott Gallery for the artist reception to help welcome him into the USN community. All are invited.
