While USN had come close several times in its effort to claim the Mock Trial District Championship, Montgomery Bell Academy had dominated the Mock Trial competitions recently. Comprised of Margot Ross '24, Xavier Warren '24, and Caroline Quinones '24, the team was able to use a mix of outside-the-box thinking, convincing arguments, and great oratorical skills to reign victorious over all other schools at the competition.
The team is grateful to Ned Hildebrand '06, Ben Raybin '03, and USN parent Maureen Joyce, for their support during the competition and particularly their teammates, Erin Joyce '25, Ben Kampine '24, Ophelia Cherry-Pulay '25, Bronson Schmidt '25, and Henry Gatto '25 for helping them get this far.
Our district champions are now headed to the state competition on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23.
