Charlotte Soslow ’28, Sarah Page-McCaw ’24 and Assistant Band Director Miranda Vargo spent the last weekend of January in Murfreesboro and at Lipscomb University to participate in this year’s Mid-State Band Clinic Weekend. Charlotte and Sarah competed against hundreds of clarinet players across the Middle Tennessee region to secure spots in the 7/8 Silver Band and 11/12 Gold Band, respectively.

Both students got to work with top clinicians and perform alongside some of the best young musicians in Tennessee.

Want to see these top-notch clarinetists in action? Join us on for HS Classical Night on Tuesday, March 5 and MS Ensemble Night on Thursday, March 7, both at 7 p.m. We will be premiering a brand new clarinet trio, composed by Charlotte, at Ensemble Night — you don’t want to miss it.
