9/8 Meet @ Vaughn's Gap

The Tigers had a stand-out meet on Thursday, September 8th. They had perfect conditions to run in, and so many runners had personal bests!

For the girls, the top five runners were:
  1. Madeline Wiseman (17th)
  2. Lainey Theobald (29th)
  3. Emily Mallal (33rd)
  4. Nicola Auman (48th)
  5. Edith Grissom (57th)
For the boys, the top five runners were:
  1. Jack Fruin (2nd)
  2. Drew Zwerner (4th)
  3. Dylan Omary (13th)
  4. Cecil Ward (28th)
  5. Brendan Hess (31st)
As mentioned above, we had a ton of personal records at this meet, including:
  • Alden Huntington (18:04-- dropped 1:14)
  • Dylan Omary (13:25-- dropped 1:05)
  • Edith Grissom (17:14-- dropped 58 seconds)
  • Emily Mallal (16:28-- dropped 52 seconds)
  • Jack Fruin (10:47-- dropped 48 seconds)
  • James Little (14:24-- dropped 46 seconds)
  • Brendan Hess (14:17-- dropped 43 seconds)
  • Greta Molvig (17:18-- dropped 31 seconds)
  • Drew Zwerner (12:10-- dropped 28 seconds)
  • Lainey Theobald (15:26-- dropped 20 seconds)
  • Lilly Lapidus (17:19-- dropped 11 seconds)
  • Nicola Auman (16:46-- dropped 11 seconds)
  • Calhoun Maddox (16:44-- dropped 2 seconds)
We had three runners negative split (run their second mile faster than their first). Those runners were: Devin McAteer, Dylan Omary, and Cecil Ward. However, most of our runners had beautifully split races and were less than 30 seconds slower in the second half of the race.

Our sixth graders did not race this week, but they will have a time trial in the next week to add another time to the books.

Additional details can be found in the picture!
