HS/MS athletics recaps for October 26-November 1

Fall sports are ending will podium finishes. Girls and boys cross country runners are headed to the state meet on Thursday, November 8. The mountain biking team rode its last trail on Raccoon Mountain.

Cross County
The Tiger harriers ran exceptionally well at DII-A Region Championship on Tuesday, October 29. The girls cross country team finished fourth, with two runners advancing to next week's State Championship. The boys cross country team finished second, and the team advances to the State meet. If you are able to cheer for them on November 8, the State Championship will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville. Click here to read more.

Mountain Biking Team
The fifth and final race of the mountain bike team’s 2024 season was held at Laurel Point just outside of Chattanooga on the sandy, tech-y and rocky Racoon Mountain trails. For several weeks prior to the final race of the NICA league season, the team had been practicing on progressively more challenging local trails and terrain to prepare for this final race and to add to our season points in both the overall individual and team contests.
